Dannielynn Birkhead lived on the memories of his late mother at a season’s favorite event. 151st Kentucky Derby.
The 18-year-old daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Burkhead turned her head wearing one of her mother’s iconic looks over the annual race weekend in Louisville, Kentucky.
When she appeared at the Barnstable Brown Gala on Friday, Danielin wore a charming black dress with sparkling diamonds on her back, and 21 years ago, gown Anna Nicole first wore it to the same event.

Her father pointed out that the dress had sentimental meaning to him and his daughter.
“Kick off @kentuckyderby weekend with Dannielynn,” Larry wrote on Instagram. “First, Barnstable-Brown Gala. Dannielynn wears an Anna Nicole dress that she wore at this same event 21 years ago.

Dannielynn, with the help of stylists Ryan Austin and Janna Allgeier, completed the leading blonde Updo of her late mom. Her signature red lips and bold eyes were credited to makeup artist Rick Bancroft.

On the red carpet, Dannielynn spoke about Dream Halter Gown and his mother’s connection.

“It feels good,” she said. Access Hollywood Before she admitted that she had been holding back tears. “Sadly, I can’t know my mother. This is one of the only reasons and ways I can do it. This is the closest thing I can hug from her.”

Participating in the Kentucky Derby festival is an annual tradition for Danielin and Burkhead.

Birkhead met The late Playboy Playmate In the 2003 Kentucky Derby, and despite keeping their relationship relatively private at the time, he continues to return to his historic annual event as a way to celebrate the past and continue to create new traditions with his little girl.
“We had a really good time. It was a tradition we go to every year,” he previously told the annual Fox News Digital at the Barnstable Brown Derby Gala.
“That’s where I met Anna Nicole Smith, which is what I got my daughter back every year. She’s old enough to understand what it is.

“I met her mom there and it’s like I brought her back and showed her and let her know the story of where she met things with your mom and I really didn’t let her do public events so I looked for my daughter there.
Smith passed away in 2007 at the age of 39.

Burkhead fought to establish him Paternal rights Dannielynn was born in the Bahamas in September 2006 and became a central figure in the battle of public courts after Anna Nicole’s death on February 8, 2007.
After a DNA test in April 2007, the judge declared Birkhead a father, then raised his daughter from the Hollywood spotlight and in his hometown of Kentucky.
