WNBPA Director Terri Jackson said that players will negotiate “as long as it takes” to get a fair deal as there are no transactions in place.
“For women’s sports, especially women’s basketball, especially for us, there are no better moments than we are. New York Post.
“We were actively offensive in terms of discussion, proposals – multiple – meeting schedules. It’s a group project. We’re doing some of that. The league hopes that such kind of milestones will have an opportunity to work towards truly important advances.
“It’s true, we can’t come far from last season. We’re starting to get backwards this season, and that’s not accessible,” Jackson added. “I don’t think anyone on the league or the team wants that.”

Last season, the WNBA won the most viewed regular season of 24 and the highest attendance of 22. Over 2.3 million people participated in the WNBA games in 2024, an increase of 48% since 2023.
