Josh Berry had one tough race Talladega Superspeedway On the weekend.
Berry and No. 21 Ford finished 26th. Jack Link’s 500. He completed all 188 laps and led 12 laps. He also suffered from several incidents while on track.

As he entered the pit, Berry accidentally attacked one of the members of Carson Josever’s pit crew. The tire changer was cut around the outside of Hocevar’s pit box and was cut off as the berries were pulled into the food stall.
Former college football player Jarius Morehead was able to withstand a touch from Berry and finished the pit stop.

“I came from a football background, and you get used to it,” he told Fox Sports’ “Regan Smith,” adding that “It’s all good.”
Berry also had a Randy Johnson moment.
The vehicle attacked the birds at the racetrack and ran to a speed of about 190 mph on stage 1. The bird was killed.
“I certainly witnessed it before, and they could cause some damage,” Berry’s crew member Miles Stanley told reporters after the race. Via Frontstretch. “They can wreak havoc, and even shredd up windshields and stuff like that.
“When we come here like our first practice or qualifications, we often see birds popping around the racetrack. So it’s not a big surprise that we finally got it on the windshield.”
Stanley said bird strikes would not have much impact on the car’s performance.
