Washington Commander An agreement has been reached to build a new stadium on the site of the old RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., officials said Monday.
Washington mayor Muriel Bowser said Columbia Regional Government And the commander’s executives signed a contract to return to a site called home for 30 years. The transaction is pending approval from the DC City Council.

The commander posted a nostalgic video showing the old days of the franchise, formerly known as the Washington Redskins.
“The time is here,” said Cheeman. “Let’s bring Washington back to DC.”
The franchise performed at RFK Stadium from 1961 to 1996 before moving to Landover, Maryland, where it is now known as Northwest Stadium. Team owner Josh Harris has been looking at various sites for the new stadium since purchasing the team from Daniel Snyder.

Legislature members supported Harris’ pursuit of the team and the NFL paying homage to take over the old RFK Stadium site. Old Redskins logo In some way. R-Mont. Senator Steve Daines said he will support future organizations with that plan after “honest negotiations” with both entities.
“We were calling for leaders if they really woke up wrongly. The irony is that the Day movement went too far and they were cancelling Native American culture,” Daines said in November. “This honors the Blackfeet Chief born in Montana. He is highly respected. The Blackfeet tribes of Montana have signed a letter of strong support for their current chairman and Tribal Council to reclaim their logo. We honor the country of India.
“We have a good discussion with the NFL and the commander. We are sincerely in negotiations that will allow us to use this logo again. Probably going to a foundation that can help Native Americans in sports. We made a decision yesterday on the committee to support this bill.”
Harris said in August that 2030 was a “rational goal” for the new stadium.

He also expressed his hopes for a future NFL Draft at the National Mall between the Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial.
