Prosecutor Shawn: Diddy, Combs Sex trafficking cases seek expert testimony about the possibility that rappers may be degraded in their mental capacity that could be protected from ju-degree apprentices.

The prosecution has set two main reasons to oppose expert testimony. The trial is set to start. According to the government, Diddy’s legal team did not provide notice of Dr. Ellie Own’s testimony before February 17, 2025.

Even if the defense provides timely notice, the prosecutors should argue that Dr. Aoun’s testimony “violates the Madness Defense Reform Act of 1985” and be deemed “irrelevant, prejudiced and unauthorized under the rules of evidence.”
Specific details of Dr. Aoun’s testimony were compiled from the submission, but it appears that expert opinions were given to help whether Diddy was “clear” on allegations of the sex trafficking scheme.
However, the prosecutors argued that Dr. Aoun had not looked into the music mogul. The government argued that experts would be used as a “replacement of calling witnesses” and that Dr. Aoun’s proposed testimony would be considered “unacceptable hearsay.”
