“Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings knows it’s not easy to compete in a show that once was the competitor himself.
On the opening night red carpet of the TCM Classic Film Festival, Jennings praised his predecessor, Alex Trebeck, but noted the “one difference” they have.
“Alex was the perfect host, but if there’s one difference between us, I remember what it was like to be a competitor. My heart came out to these people,” Jennings told Fox News Digital.
The Seattle-born host began his “Danger!” 20 years ago, he won over $2.5 million over the course of 74 consecutive games.

He continued, “It’s the first time on their TV and we throw them in this crucible. It’s a high pressure environment, so am I always thinking about ways to make these people comfortable?
“I relate 100% to these three,” Jennings added.
And the competitors have split their mistakes along the way More than 40 years of running of the show.
Recently, online fans were confused that all three contestants failed the final round category of “fictional characters” and responded incorrectly. A prompt with the theme of “The Wizard of Oz”.

“Boq is one of these fictional people, not as big as those who grew up, but they weren’t very small either,” the clue read. All three speculated other fictional little people, but the correct response was “What is the Munchkin?”
“In the 1939 film of The Wizard of Oz, the Munchkin is very small, but in the book, Mancheon is said to be about Dorothy’s height,” Jennings told them.

Jennings took over hosting duties in 2020 after Trebeck died of pancreatic cancer.
In an interview with Rolling Stone in January, the 50-year-old admitted that he wasn’t too worried about hosting, but was even more worried about the sadness and mourning that the show’s staff experienced. Loss of Trebeck.

At the TCM Classic Film Festival, Jennings did several additional hosting duties, introduced two films in the lineup, and found another connection to Trebeck.
