The proposal would have redefine sex Title IX As “gender identity,” however, less than two weeks after President Donald Trump took office for the second time, the proposal was ultimately shattered by a federal judge in January.
However, a new report New York Times Biden himself says he disagreed with trans athletes taking part in women’s and girls’ sports.

“According to many former Biden hosts, “One side argued there was no legal difference between having trans students use bathrooms that match their gender identity and playing trans student athletes to play sports teams with gender identity,” the Times reported, “According to many former Biden party members, there was still a similar debate within the administration.”
But Biden said, “I was on the other side… I believed the competitive zero-sum nature of sports was different to the bathroom – some trans athletes would enjoy unfair physical benefits over women.
“Most importantly, one of the officials who held this view was Biden himself,” the Times wrote.
The Times received quotes from a former Biden administration official who said Biden was “focusing on competition issues in particular.”

However, the administration remained mostly silent until 2023. Because they said, “Ahead of the mid-term 2022… they didn’t want to go into the discussion in depth.
Recent polls show that around 80% of Americans reported feelings about the Biden issue.
Biden’s agents did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Title IX, handed over to the law in 1972, prohibited gender-based discrimination at schools that receive federal funds. “Americans must not be excluded from participation or denied discrimination based on gender, or based on educational programs or activities that are federal financially supported,” he said.

President Trump has since signed an executive order banning trans athletes from competing with biological girls and sports, but several states have violated the order. The most notable is the main onewhich resulted in a frozen federal funding.
