Harrison spoke to media members on Tuesday with Mavericks CEO Rick Weltz. There, only Dallas-based reporters were present and asked questions.
“I have no regrets about the trade,” Harrison said. Tim McMahon from ESPN. “Part of my job is to do the best for the Mavericks not only today but in the future, and some of the decisions I will put down will not be popular.
“That’s my job and I have to support it.”
Harrison also continued his stance of “defense wins the championship.” This is what I said when I bought All-Star Center Anthony Davis, the highlight of Don Sic’s Lakers package.
“But our philosophy, like I said, is now a defensive victory championship and we are built on defense,” Harrison explained via ESPN. “And this trade is solidifying us for that.”

However, Davis has only played nine games in the Mavericks uniform since it was traded, as he suffered a left aider injury during the team’s debut. Also, Kyrie Irving, a Dynamic Point Guard who worked with Doncic on his way to the NBA Finals last season, suffered from a torn ACL after the deal, creating a huge loss in the opening five.
The Don Chic deal literally surprised the whole basketball world, but Harrison said, “You can’t buy the best players,” so it was a very secret about how they deal with the Lakers.
“We’re not responsible for that because the trade may not work,” Harrison said. Athletic. “And they have to play under scrutiny of being eventually shopping.”
The deal wasn’t something fans wanted to see, and the team struggled to have consistent “FireNico” chants at home games, with “funerals” at Dallas and all outside American Airlines Centers in Dallas, home to the Mavericks.

MacMahon reports While Mavs fans have refused to compete in the game, the team has seen a decline in product sales and even sponsors have split from the organization, saying that it is “predicted to lose hundreds of thousands” this season alone.
“Well, the beauty of Dallas is that it’s a passionate fan base,” Harrison added. “We need that fan base to reach our goal.
“And to be honest with you, not all the deals I’ve made since I came here were considered good deals. So sometimes it takes time. When I traded for Kylie, it met a lot of skepticism, and it was scored as a terrible deal and you didn’t see it right away, but in the end everyone agreed that it was a great deal.”
