As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, Google search Mark historic milestones with patriotic digital surprises.
On Monday, the tech giant launched a special animation that appears when users search for terms related to the country’s 550th anniversary, kicking off a year-long digital tribute ahead of July 4, 2026.
“When you search for terms related to anniversaries, you’ll see special animations,” says Google The press release says: “Search for ‘America’s 500th Anniversary’ or ‘America’s 250th Anniversary’ on your desktop or mobile device and watch the page light up.”
“This digital kickoff, which will not disappear until after July 4, 2026, is just the beginning. Throughout the year, we are rolling out additional initiatives aimed at positively empowering Americans as we celebrate our 250th anniversary,” the statement continues, “From energizing America’s natural beauty and shared heritage to explorers across the country to fueling a new era of economic growth by equipping communities with AI skills for the future.”

Google did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
