Atlanta police said passenger Johannes Van Hartum, 32, called 911 from the plane, claiming he had seen another traveler with a weapon. Investigators said Van Hartum panicked and became violent, forcing the plane to return to the ramp.

Police said Van Hartum appeared to be suffering from some symptoms. mental health episode He was assessed by paramedics before being taken into custody. He was charged with reckless conduct, criminal damage to property and obstruction of safety measures.
He was then transported to the Clayton County Jail without incident and APD Homeland Security was notified.
