The coins were all minted between the 1420s and 1530s. Many of the coins feature portraits of four English kings from 1422 to 1547: Henry VI, Edward IV, Henry VII, and Henry VIII.

“The coins in the vault bear the names of four kings, two queens (Catherine of Aragon and Jane Seymour) and one cardinal,” Guest said.
Coin dealers said the coin’s good condition contributed to the treasure’s strong selling point and they believed it could sell for much more than the expected price.
