Candace Cameron Bure They like small towns that live on the glamour and charm of Hollywood.

When fans asked the actress why she bid farewell to Southern California, Bure replied, “I still love SoCal, but LA hasn’t been the same since 2020 since growing up there.”

“We love living in a small town where people really know your name (not because I’m on TV),” Bure explained.
The actress, who built her career in the Hollywood spotlight, said the transition to small town life was an easy decision.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Bure said security concerns played a major role in her decision.

“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” she confessed. “That was the biggest reason we moved.”
“Not everyone in Hollywood lives behind the guard gates, and we weren’t behind the gates,” Bure explained.

“It’s amazing how people feel they can do it,” she continued. “And in some way I want to be part of your life. Some of it is innocent, some of it wasn’t. But when you’re just a person and trying to live, and you don’t know if you’re round the corner, it’s pretty unsettling.”
Bure previously confirmed on Instagram that he officially left Los Angeles.
