Mötley Crüe Frontman Vince Neal reveals the major health horrors that put the band on hold.
He said that Neil suffered a stroke last Christmas, and his doctors didn’t believe he could walk again. Las Vegas Review Journal In a new interview.
“I had a stroke,” he explained. “The whole left side of me has disappeared.”

Locker said he was fine when he went to bed on the night of December 25th. He woke up the next morning and left bed, but discovered he couldn’t do so.
“I had to learn to walk again, but that was tough,” he told the outlet. “The doctors said they didn’t think I could go back to the stage again.

Meanwhile, Neil focused on physical therapy and did it from his home in Nashville.
“I went to the bathroom from the person carrying me, because I couldn’t walk myself, so I ended up in a wheelchair,” he said. “I graduated to pedestrians, and then I had a cane. I don’t need anything now. But it’s like a full-time job to get you back to where you feel good again.”
He said, “It takes time for your brain to start moving your legs to do what your brain wants to do. You try to walk, but it’s not coming out correctly.”

Neil said his recovery was “difficult,” as he was involved in working with a football coach later with “a lot of running,” but he’s doing well now.
“I’m back. I’m 90, 95% of where I used to be, and that’s going to be great,” he said.

Neal first returned to the stage in August, performing at MGM Music Hall in Fenway, Boston Brett Michaels. On Friday, he and the rest of the Metre Crew performed their first rescheduling show of their Las Vegas residency.
Before the concert, Neil told the Las Vegas Review Journal that the show’s setlist is “a song that fans want to hear, although there are some deep cuts.”

The band played hits during the show like “Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” and “Girls, Girls, Girls.”
