Charlie Sheen The history of substance abuse dates back decades.
The 60-year-old Scene recalls his addiction journey and how his famous family organized an intervention in the new Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen,” in the early 90s.

“I think mom called me: “Dad has something to do, so we have to do it early,” she says, “We’re thinking 9:00.” I’m “Am?” She looks like “Yes.” ”

His longtime friend, Sean Penn, did not attend. Penn said in the docusary that he “never involved in these interventions” due to his own personal struggles.
“I wasn’t walking my perfect trail in some ways,” Penn said.

Sheen remembered staying quiet mostly during the “emotional” days when his friends and family read the letters.

“There’s a lot to process,” he said. “I’ve heard of these things, but I’ve never been this close to intervention.” Sheen demanded that he consider moving away from the group and entering treatment, but said, “No. This is the decision we made for you and the decision that has to happen today.” ”

He added that “If I agree to this, I can probably make plans somewhere far from here, just to get out of this situation.”
Sheen was deeply pondering how to avoid receiving treatment until her dad left the office and said, “There are people who want to talk to you.”
“Platoon” star I called in anticipation of family and knew exactly who was talking to him the second person he heard the tone.

“It’s a very recognizable and very globally familiar voice,” he said. “That’s Clint.”
He added, “[Clint] “You have to bring the train back to the tracks, kids… you’re worth saving.” It was really powerful. I thanked him, returned the phone to my dad and said, “It’s okay, let’s go.” ”
The scene finally became beautiful in 2017. “You need to be happy,” he told People Magazine. “I’ll keep it [mental list] If you want to have a drink, the worst, most shameful thing I’ve done, you can see it in your head. ”
