Former child actor Drake Bell, who found fame on Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh, has accused the network of not paying stars.
Bell, 39, claimed that he and co-star Josh Peck did not receive the rest of their show.

Bell said most networks will pay the actors remaining for work used after the initial run, but Nickelodeon said it only offers one-time payments to the actors.
Host Matt Howard wondered if the network was trying to take advantage of the stars because of its age.
“It’s a lot of evil and corrupt people… that’s the answer,” Bell said. “There’s no other answer. They should let us both mentally and emotionally throw us at the wolves. And we said, “Okay, cool. I got rent this month.”

Bell said they receive video games and books as well as TV movies, but they are still popular with audiences.
“There are three channels that run the ‘Drake & Josh’ marathon. Netflix just bought it and is the top 10 on Netflix. We have to find a way to pay rent this month,” Bell said. “And just a fat cat with a cigar sitting on top of Viacom… it’s like raising child labour.”
“We’re taking all of this work in. This company is making billions of ‘B’s out of us. We’re compensated for work week, but that’s cool.
“If it’s Elon [Musk] Take us to Mars and they show us “Drake & Josh” and it’s impossible for me to get paid for it. ”
Nickelodeon representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The documentary “Silent Set” premiered in March 2024 and covered much of Dan Schneider’s time at Nickelodeon. As a showrunner, Schneider is said to have run a toxic workplace, discriminated against female writers on staff, and requested massages from set employees.

The most surprising claim from the documentary came from Bell. Bell detailed the sexual abuse allegations against Nickelodeon-employed actor and dialogue coach Brian Peck.
Bell recalled the days when the relationship went from being uncomfortable to being a full-blown assault and abuse.

“I was sleeping on the sofa where I normally slept, and I woke up to him. I opened my eyes and woke up, and he was sexually assaulting me. “And I didn’t know how to get out of the situation… what do I do, my mom, ‘Hey, can you come and pick me up? This happened, sit here and wait.’ I didn’t have a car, I was 15 at this point. ”
He continued, “The abuse was extensive. And it was pretty brutal and pretty cruel. I don’t know, I really don’t know how to elaborate it on camera.”

When asked by the producer what he felt he was talking about, Bell said, “Why don’t you do this, why don’t you think about the worst thing someone can do as a sexual assault, it will answer your question. I don’t know how else to put it.

Nickelodeon We have issued a statement to Fox News Digital regarding alleged behavior in past production sets.
“While we cannot support or deny allegations of conduct from productions decades ago, Nickelodeon as a policy issue is investigating all formal complaints as part of its commitment to fostering a safe, professional work environment free of harassment and other types of inappropriate conduct,” the statement said. “Our top priority is the happiness and greatest interests of all children, not just our employees, cast and crew, and over the years we have adopted numerous safeguards to ensure that we are meeting our own high standards and the expectations of our audience.”
