Baltimore Orioles Fans received an interesting turn of events for “Star Spangled Banner” before wiping out the New York Mets with a doubleheader on Thursday night, but obviously not everyone was impressed with the autotuned version.
Dan Deacon, a Baltimore-based recording artist known for his “innovative electronic music,” welcomed fans before the Orioles took care of him. Mets 3-1 in Game 1 and 7-3 in Game 2.

“I think the Orioles officially attacked Rockbottom,” one person wrote in X’s post.

The video of Deacon’s performance received over 1.2 million views, and fans were a bit confused at home and in the stands.
“I’m like alternating between ‘What is this?’ and ‘I feel it,'” one person wrote to X.
“What is his claim to fame? … he’s not singing…” another added.

However, Deacon’s Instagram fans, with over 47,000 followers, appeared to appreciate his unique performance.
“Dan sings the national anthem, and O sweeps the double header against one of the best teams league. A coincidence? I don’t think so,” one wrote.
“This is 100% why the OS won the game,” another added.

Jordan Westberg drove on a home rating and three runs, while Alex Jackson doubled twice, earning two runs in his Baltimore debut, supporting his fifth win in six games. Meanwhile, the Mets fell to 1.5 games to first-place Philadelphia in the NL East after sinking 14-16 on Interleague play.
