Formerly long years ESPN Sports Caster Damper Trick He says he was the target of a network’s “smear campaign” after making the difficult decision to launch his own venture with the media giant nearly 20 years later.
Patrick, the host of “The Dampatrick Show,” filed a complaint while appearing on the Bar Stool Podcast recently. “Please forgive my take.” He said he believes there will be attempts by the network to SandBag a new start after the decision to leave SportsCenter in 2007.

“Ah, it’s scary,” Patrick recalled, “This smear campaign has begun, so if there’s a radio affiliate who had my show, if you still decide to carry me, it’s going to be removed as an ESPN affiliate,” Patrick recalled.

Despite attempts to undermine his success, Patrick said he “understands” the move. He even claimed that it was “empowered.”
