San Francisco Giants Catcher Patrick Bailey surrendered himself to the vast history of major league baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday night.
The Giants had two runners at the bottom of the nine innings 3-1 on base with Phillies’ reliever Jordan Romano on the bump. Bailey sent the first pitch he looked deep into the right center field at Oracle Park. “He’s got some big hits this year,” Giants manager Bob Melvin said. “In big circumstances, he’s gone through, not as much as he wants. Hopefully, it’s something that catapults him.
