Kansas City Royals Star Bobby Whit Jr. competed for Team USA in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, with the Americans almost winning the tournament, but lost to Japan.
It was the first time Witt represented the US World Baseball Classic stage. He had already helped Team USA win gold at the 2018 Pan American Baseball Union (now WBSC Americas) tournament.
