Sean “Diddy” comb He reportedly received a standing ovation from a fellow inmate after being acquitted of the most serious charges brought against him 10 months ago.
After hearing seven weeks of testimony from the prosecutor’s witness, Diddy’s ju judge returned three innocent verdicts. A group of 12 people originally announced they had been stuck on conspiracy to assault, but later chose to acquit the rapper.
According to his defense attorney, Mark Agnifilo, Diddy returned to MDC Brooklyn’s standing ovation after the verdict was read.
“They all said, ‘We can’t see the people who beat the government,'” Agnifilo told The Associated Press.

“I said: ‘Maybe it’s your destiny of life to be a winner,” he added. “They need to see that someone can win, and I think he’s taken that to heart.”

Each count carries the maximum of 10 years, so he could be sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Hours after the verdict was read in court, Judge Arun Subramanian was rejected Diddy’s request for bail. The federal judge pointed to Diddy’s violence, including an attack by the Intercontinental Hotel on his ex-girlfriend, Cathy Ventura, as the reason for his decision to place the rapper behind the bar.
The “Last Night” rapper will remain behind the bar until his ruling hearing, which was proposed to take place on October 3rd. Prosecutors proposed four to five years for Combs’ sentence.

According to Diddy’s defensethe dishonorable music mogul re-enters a program for domestic abusers after he is released. He had started the program in September 2024 just before his arrest.
“He’s fine,” Agnifilo told the Associated Press.

He claims Diddy really want improvements, “I realized that he has flaws like everyone else who has never worked for.”
“He’s burning hot with all the issues. I think what he came to see is that he has these flaws, he has no fame to erase them, and he has no amount of wealth,” he said. “You can’t hide them.”
