president Donald Trump He blamed his former first partner, Elon Musk, for starting a third party, and said that such parties “had never worked” while calling the move “silly.”
Trump spoke with reporters when Musk was asked about his move to launch a third party before boarding Air Force 1 in Bedminster, New Jersey.
“I think starting a third party would be ridiculous,” Trump said from the runway. “We have been very successful with the Republican Party. The Democrats have lost their waybut I think it’s always a two-party system and starting a third party only adds to the confusion.
“It really seems like it was developed for two political parties,” the president continued. “Third parties have never worked, so he can enjoy it, but I think it’s ridiculous.”

The masks have been announced On Saturday, he launched a new political party called the “American Party” on his social media platform X.
Entrepreneurs called the formation of the party a direct response to corrupt political establishments that no longer represent the American people.
The announcement follows the Virus of X July 4 poll, which Musk asked if he wanted independence from what he called the “one who called the two-party (unipart) system.”

Over 1.2 million votes have been voted, with 65.4% saying yes.
“If it’s twice or a factor, you need a new political party and you get it,” Musk posted on Saturday. “When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and grafts, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the American Party is formed to give you your freedom back.”
After some time of nausea with the reporter, Trump turned to the true society to express his concern about Musk, giving him insight into what could have led to two ways of breaking up.
“I’m sad to see Elon Musk completely ‘off the rail’. It’s essentially a train wreck over the past five weeks. He wants to start a third party despite the fact that they have never been successful in the US – the system doesn’t seem to be designed for them.” “One of the good things about third parties is the creation of complete and total confusion and chaos, and we have enough of it.
“On the other hand, Republicans are smooth running ‘machines’ and have just passed the largest bill in our country’s history,” Trump continued. “It’s a great bill, but unfortunately for Elon, it eliminates the ridiculous electric vehicle (EV) mandate.

Trump said he has been “strongly opposed” to EV mandates from the start, and the new bill allows consumers to buy the type of vehicle they want, whether it’s electric, gas or hybrid.
“I’ve been campaigning about this for two years, and honestly, when Elon gave me his full and unquestionable support, I asked him if he knew I was going to end the EV mandate – that’s in every speech I’ve made and in every conversation I had,” Trump said. “He said there was no problem with it – I was very surprised!”
Trump also asked Musk to run NASA, but the president said he made it a problem when he learned that his friend was a “blue bloody Democrat” who never contributed to the Republican Party.
“When NASA was a big part of Elon’s corporate life, I thought it would be inappropriate for Elon’s very close friend, who was in the space business, to run NASA,” he said. “My number one claim is to protect the American people!”
Musk chose to set up a new political party after expressing serious concern over the president’s “big beautiful bill” that was signed into law at the White House on Friday.
The $3.3 trillion law includes tax cuts, infrastructure spending and stimulus, which has attracted criticism from fiscal conservatives and libertarians. Musk did not directly refer to the bill in his American Party post, but the timing suggests a rise in friction between the billionaire and the president. Musk has previously warned that unconfirmed spending by both parties threatens the long-term health of the economy.

According to Musk’s post, the new party will target several important seats in the parliament. The goal is to create a swing block that is strong enough to maintain a balance of power and block what Musk considers as the worst overload for both Republicans and Democrats.
A third party has it Traditionally, systems have been built for two dominant political parties, which has made it difficult to gain positions based on American politics. Electoral colleges, winner elections, and strict voting access laws prevent outsiders from competing meaningfully. Even when a third-party candidate fires, it rarely lasts beyond a single election cycle.
One of the biggest third-party initiatives in recent history was Lospero’s 1992 run.
He won nearly 19% of the popularity vote as an independent, but did not win the single electoral college vote. It was the closest third-party candidate to reach the White House after President Teddy Roosevelt’s famous Bull Moose party ran in 1912 against his former protégé William Howard Taft.
