Microsoft will lay off Thousands of workers in the second round of employment cuts over the last few months.
First reported layoff Seattle Times, Microsoft’s overall staffing will be reduced to less than 4%.
The company previously announced most layoffs 6,000 employees In May. Last month, reports said Microsoft is cutting back on some jobs.

“We continue to implement the organizational changes needed to maximize our company and team to be successful in a dynamic market,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Fox Business when it reached comments about the latest layoffs.

According to the company, Microsoft aims to increase agility and streamline the work by removing the management layer. He cited similar efforts to the layoffs announced in May.

During the company’s third quarter revenue call in late April, CFO Amy Hood said Microsoft’s personnel at the end of March were “2% higher” than last year, but “slightly down” from the second quarter.
