Athletics rookie shortstop Jacob Wilson took the major leagues by storm.
The 23-year-old Wilson has a batting average of .347 and nine home runs in 76 games this season. Short stop batting average is second In MLB Behind New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge (.361), he has the second-lowest strikeout rating in baseball at 6.8%.
The Rising Star said he believes one of the key factors in his success is the video game Fortnite.

“My kids are going to love this. My parents are going to hate me. I have a great belief in video games.” I told ESPN.
“This is a quick decision-making strategy. I think you’re ready for the game because when you’re in the box you have to handle a lot.”
Wilson praises the video game for helping him train his decision-making.
“There are days when you wake up. You play video games and then you go to the field. You have a good day. You don’t play for days and don’t watch the ball well. I think it will help you train the decisions you have to make in six or seven hours at the baseball field,” Wilson said.

Athletics’ shortstop is currently popular to win the American League Rookie of the Year with his strong play.
With the help of Fortnite, Wilson’s play may land him in the All-Star Game next month In Atlanta.
Wilson may attribute part of his success to Fortnite, but much of his success in the big leagues comes from his wealth of talent. Jacob is the son of Jack Wilson, spending 12 seasons in major league baseball and won the NL All-Star team in 2004. Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jack said he thinks video games will help adjust the hands and eyes.

“As long as I do my homework, I believe in the hand and eye adjustments that video games provide,” Jack told ESPN. “Kids, if you’re reading, do your homework.”
Jacob will try to continue his strong season when track and field (33-49) plays Detroit Tigers (50-31) Thursday at 1:10pm Eastern Thursday
