Transportation Security Administration (TSA) took part in a social media discussion this week by making it clear that Waffle House IDs owned by some customers of popular restaurants are “not sufficient” as personal identifications for travel.
A flight passenger posted a photo on his yellow X Waffle House ID with caption: “TSA may need an actual ID, but I have the latest ID.”
The post has received around 2.1 million views and thousands of reposts and likes.
The TSA responded to social posts saying that the ID is not compliant with federal regulations and is not acceptable at security checkpoints.
