Princess Diana was ready to lead the Royal Protocol to the test to prove she was a “free woman.”
The late Princess of Wales is the upcoming subject “Princess Diana’s Style and Royal Collection” The auction will be held in Los Angeles on June 26th. It features some of the design illustrations by fashion designer Jacques Azagury for Diana, as well as some fabric examples of her famous dress.
“That feels great [to keep her memory alive]”Azagherry, who has redesigned his style in his last few years, told Fox News Digital in a private preview at Peninsula Residence London.

Azagherry said he met Diana in 1985. Showing his new collection in London. They were featured by Anna Harvey, associate editor of British Vogue.

“She immediately reassured me,” he explained. “She had this incredible ability to make you completely reassure you right away.”
In return, Azagherry will help Diana get out of her shell.

“Her later years Diana embraced this sexy and refined lookthat was my purpose,” he explained.
“My purpose was to pull her out of all these ruffles and… the nasty skirt she wore in the beginning. She had to be on an international stage as her life was developing, and it was my job to fit her there.

Reports show that British royals are subject to strict fashion rules. And as The wife of the future kingDiana was expected to follow them. However, when her marriage went publicly, Diana was ready to use her style to send a new message.

One of the most iconic looks was “The Revenge Dress,” a slink little black dress she wore in 1994. Reports say Diana owned the Christina Stanboria designs for three years, but she was bold until then so she never wore them.

“This was a time when we all saw Diana, whom we all loved, and she felt free from marriage,” Azagaree said.

“It was her new life. She was healthy, she was training. She looked amazing, and these dresses were saying exactly what she wanted to say that she was a free woman. She could wear what she wanted to wear. She left royal protocols with the length of the dress.
However, Azagherry admitted that he was not. Preparing Diana’s Bold Fashion Requests.

“[She surprised me] He said. “She wanted the dress to be very short. [‘Swan Lake’ dress from June 1997]. It was a very low décolletage, very short anyway, and she wanted to be even shorter. “Look, you’re not going to leave a dress, you’re a princess. We need to remember you’re a princess.” It was much shorter anyway, so that’s really the only request we don’t adhere to. ”

Azagury said one of Diana’s favorite colors is black, and for the royals it is usually reserved for mourning. But who was the princess? Prosper in the age of supermodelsWearing some pieces of Azagherry, it was a low cut, hugging her figure and showing off her naked, lean arms. Her 1995 “Venice” dress was a two-piece bright red silk featuring a short skirt. The 1997 “Washington” dress featured a deep V-cut on the back.
“After Diana’s marriage, she portrayed herself in a slightly different way,” explained Azagaree. “She had full freedom… she could wear what she wanted to wear. She could wear black. She normally can’t wear black because she usually only wears black for funerals.”

“So, the moment she was away from there, the first dress we made for her was the black dress we made for her after an interview with Martin Bashir…it was a sexy black dress,” he shared. “That was how she said, ‘This is me, this is the new me. I’m confident.’ And it treated such a dress like that.

And as one of the most photographed women in the world, there was no room for error, Azagherry emphasized.
“As a designer, my main thing was to make sure everything in the little one in the dress was perfect,” he said. “She was off of her shell, so she had 500 photographers surrounded her, so even if the dress was very simple, everything had to be perfect.”

“It took a lot of work to make everything white, and that was my job,” he said. “We had no accidents at all. We didn’t want to be a circle of shame with something sticking out. So it was my job to make sure everything was really right for her.”

Azagury created something that was built by the Royal Watchers “Final Goodbye” dress. It was a full-length black dress that emphasized a swooping neckline, thin straps and high front slits. Diana was equipped in London just before she flew to Paris.

“There could have been a Disney premiere, so it was more amazing than the other dresses and I really wanted it to be a Hollywood red carpet,” Azagherry said. “That was what I had to do [adjust] strap. Sadly, she couldn’t wear it. ”
But her legacy continues, he said.

“The princess still has an indirect influence on fashion, and has an impact on other royals,” Azagaree said. “of course, Whenever Kate wears something It looks like Diana was wearing it remotely…it’s always compared in the newspaper. So she’s still there. ”

“In a way, the dresses she wore at the time, yes, they were fashion at the time, but they were timeless pieces,” he replied. “For example, the dress I made can be worn today and they don’t look out of place. I have something to say about the feeling of her dress…it’s gotten quite deep.”
The auction “Princess Diana Style and Royal Collection” by Julien will begin on June 26th at Beverly Hills Peninsula.
