David Beckham He is officially knighted by Charles III for his services to sports and charities.
The 50-year-old British football legend was awarded the Order along with Oscar winner Gary Oldman and Charles’ birthday honor list frontman Roger Daltrey.
Beckham’s title is now “Sir David Beckham,” and his wife, Victoria Beckham, will become known as “Lady Victoria Beckham.”
“My parents and grandparents who grew up in East London were so patriotism and proud to be British, I would never have imagined receiving such a truly humble honor,” Beckham said in a statement.
