Shawn: Diddy, Combs The defense team has complained about the secrets of certain aspects of the trial, including the well-known rapper mentioned in the testimony but not named.
Before the trial of the 55-year-old music mogul resumed Thursday, the lawyers representing the federal prosecutors went back and forth about naming an individual who existed with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Jane on a Las Vegas night in January 2024.
After all parties returned to court, defense attorney Mark Agnifilo complained to US District Judge Arun Subramanian about the fact that Combs was removed from the meeting.
Agnifilo emphasized the public nature of the trial and wanted his objection to the record, adding that “these events, which they disagreed and played important parts against the backdrop of some of the most important events of the trial, should not be fully published in any way.”

“Part of the reason why trials are fully public is that if someone realizes they know something about an event discussed in a public court, they can share memories of it,” Agnifilo said. “And I think it’s like a practical aspect of the constitutional right to public trial. It’s public for reasons, the facts are public for reasons, the names are public for reasons, and the reasons can be made by the public for all matters of importance.
Prosecutors argued that the defense proposal for using their real name was “all just pretending to harass and threaten the ex-girlfriend of “Combs,” who testified this week under Jane’s pseudonym.
In her testimony, Jane told the ju judge about her secret trip to Las Vegas, which she filmed in January 2024. Combs’ ex-girlfriend She said she traveled to see the very famous rapper close to the comb.
According to Jane, the rapper is a “music industry icon.”
Jane remembered that she and the others attended the play before heading to the strip club, then went to her hotel room. Antoine – one of the male escorts, Jane and Combs, often turned their eyes to be considered “hotel night” – was part of the group. Jane said she and Antoine greeted each other.
Jane recalls seeing Antoine having sex with a woman in front of others after going to her hotel room. She told Combs’ defense attorney that there was a flirty joke between her and the rapper, but nothing happened between them.

Prosecutor Maurene Comey also noted that the identities of those who were involved in that particular event are not a defense against Jane’s conduct that testified that the accused had engaged on June 18th and 19th, 2024.
Criminal defense attorney John W. Day, owner of New Mexico-based law practice Santa Fe, agreed to John Day Day Law and told Fox News Digital that “Judges are right – “Apart from threats to try and publish the names of others who exist on hotel nights, this is not part of the act being charged, so that other people’s claims will be potential witnesses.
