Cobi Jones, USMNT The greatest leader of all time believes the United States can do big things at the World Cup.
Jones, 54, said the past serves as an indicator of what this iteration can do in the US. World Cup.
“They can go all the way, and I know people laugh at it, but when I see what we did in 2002, no one expects us to go that far,” Jones told Fox News Digital.

In 2002, the US advanced as a heavy underdog to the quarter final match, the best modern finish of the World Cup.
“The way I see it is anyone can make something happen at this World Cup. That’s really great about it.”
Jones said the teams must meet up the following year before the World Cup.
“Well, for me, the biggest thing is, we’re all together as a team. I’m not too worried about the outcome right now. This is a year,” Jones said.

“There is plenty of time for Coach Pochettino to make the necessary changes that he considers to be important for this team to succeed, and that’s his job, so he gets paid a lot of money.
Jones said he is excited about what will happen on the field, as well as looking forward to events off the field.
“I’m also excited about everything that’s going on on the field. The events around… I’m sure there’ll be all different parties that you know about,” Jones said.

“People, you know, bars, restaurants, outdoor stadiums, everywhere. It’s just a gathering of people. So, for me, we’re the moment when we see different cultures coming together. That’s what makes me excited.”
Jones played for USMNT from 1992 to 2004, with the midfielder scoring 15 goals International play.
